John Berenyi, Managing Director B.Ec, B.Sc (Hons), APS, AMSRS.
A registered Psychologist, John has over 25 years experience in advertising and research in Australia, Europe and Asia. He has worked with organisations such as Coca-Cola, McCain, Coles Myer, Macquarie Bank, Telstra, Becton, Origin Energy, Pacific Brands and Warner Bros.
Katy Nugent, Director B.Ec, AMSRS.
Katy has over 20 years experience in consumer and industrial market research. Since the founding of Bergent, in 1987, Katy has been involved in all aspects of Bergent's research.
Hayley Wheatley, Account Director BBus, MMktg, AMSRS, AMI
Hayley has extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative studies in a number of fields including packaged foods & beverages. Specialising in shopper research, she manages projects ranging from large scale in-store observational studies, to online shelf testing, to in-store focus groups. During her time at ACNielsen she worked in both Retail Measurement and Customised, combining sales results with marketing insights. Prior to her research career she worked in real estate sales, media buying and retail. Hayley is also a guest lecturer in International Retailing at the Marketing Department at Monash University.
Erika Williams, Account Director BBus, BA, AMSRS
Erika has 10 years research experience in marketing and brand development in Australia and the UK. Her experience spans various industries and includes a range of marketing issues from explorative research, market strategy, branding, positioning, NPD and concept development / testing. Erika’s passion lies in understanding what makes consumers tick and translating this into market strategies and new concepts.
Tim has worked in the market research industry for close to 20 years in London, Adelaide and in Melbourne. Tim specialises in financial and sports research, working for a number of major clients in these industries. He also has extensive experience conducting mystery shopping programs for the food industry and other sectors.
David Fong LLB, BA
David has considerable experience in research and market strategy within the tourism and hospitality sector. Working with a number of global clients David's experience encompasses branding, identity and positioning. Recent clients include Sedona Hotels and Resorts, Fraser Serviced Apartments, The Ritz-Carlton Millennia Singapore, DTZ Asia Pacific, Banyan Tree Resort & Spa, Hyatt, and Dusit International.

Andrew has an extensive career history in senior management positions, including CEO and board level. His industry experience ranges from manufacturing, transport and logistics to business mentoring, HR consulting, market research, business process improvement and education
Alison Eglentals, Project Manager BBus, AMSRS
Alison has worked on numerous research projects in a variety of industries including quick service restaurants, health & beauty, beverages and entertainment. Prior to joining Bergent, Alison gained international, as well as, Australian experience in a number of fields including retail, education, sponsorship & fundraising, event management and wine merchandising.
Ranil Illesinghe, Project Manager B.Com, Grad. Dip CA, AMSRS
Ranil has worked on numerous research projects in industries such as energy and resources, quick service restaurants, FMCG and entertainment. Before joining Bergent, Ranil gained experience in marketing communications, working with a neuro-technology company co-ordinating its marketing activities. Prior to this, he was part of a rotational graduate program for a multinational manufacturing company, where he gained experience in all areas of the business.
Alejandra Raudam, Project Assistant BBus, MMktg
Alejandra’s experience stems from her marketing communications background. Prior to joining the Bergent team Alejandra worked in a creative advertising agency, with a focus on internet media. Prior to this she worked within the construction/manufacturing industry co-ordinating all marketing and sales activities.
Nicola Bird, Executive Assistant
Nicola is Bergent's Executive Assistant to the Managing Director, John Berenyi. She has over 10 years experience in all facets of administration with the last three years being in market research. Prior to joining the Bergent team, Nicola worked at NWC Opinion Research supporting the researchers in an administrative role and also assisting on ad hoc tracking projects.
