07 Jul 2010: John Berenyi presents at ANZPHIC 2010
John Berenyi, Managing Director of Bergent Research, was invited to present at the 10th Anniversary Australia, New Zealand & Pacific Hotel Industry Conference (ANZPHIC), run from 7-9 July 2010, where key stakeholders gathered to discuss the issues, challenges and strategies for getting the hotel industry Back on Track in 2010.
John gave his presentation titled ‘Fractional Real Estate: Is there a market in Australia?’, where he argued that there are opportunities to improve the appeal of fractional offerings in the marketplace and that speaking to prospects in the right way gives some important clues on how to achieve this.

18 Feb 2010: John Berenyi chairs “In-Store Excellence 2010”
John Berenyi, Managing Director of Bergent Research, was againinvited to chair ‘In-Store Excellence 2010” – a meeting of FMCG industry executives dedicated to understanding consumer behaviour.
During the conference, John presented “Creating shopper connections on multiple levels with sensory marketing”, where he used real life case studies to demonstrate how to leverage shoppers' subconscious triggers, uncover what really motivates shoppers and how to exploit these triggers and motivations in-store.

Erika (BBus (Marketing), BA (Psychology, Communications)) has 10 years research experience in marketing and brand development in Australia and the UK. Her experience spans various industries and includes a range of marketing issues from explorative research, market strategy, branding, positioning, NPD and concept development / testing. Erika’s passion lies in understanding what makes consumers tick and translating this into market strategies and new concepts.

15 May 2009: John Berenyi presents at the New Zealand Hotel Industry Conference 2009
John Berenyi recently spoke at the 2009 New Zealand Hotel Industry Conference in Auckland, presenting to private sector clients and public sector stakeholders in the hotel, tourism and leisure industry.
John’s presentation titled “Opportunities in Current Hotel Environment: What’s Working and What’s Not” emphasised the short and long-term benefits of building brand value during a recession. John highlighted that if all players cut prices, not only was the playing field levelled, but the margins were also lower for everyone. He argued that to excel in the current economic climate hotels need more than just competitive prices, but brand differentiation via specialised focus on customer satisfaction.

14 Feb 2009: John Berenyi chairs “In-Store Excellence 2009”
John Berenyi, Managing Director of Bergent Research, was invited to chair ‘In-Store Excellence 2009” – a meeting of FMCG industry executives dedicated to understanding consumer behaviour.
During the conference, John presented “Understanding the True Dynamics of the Shopping Experience to Increase your Effectiveness”, where he used real life case studies to demonstrate the impact of in-store location, lighting, shelf placement and POS on shopper behaviour.
John also led a three hour workshop titled “Developing Strategies to Get Cut-through on the shelf”, where he illustrated easy ways to capture shoppers’ attention, mistakes to avoid and strategies to increase customer loyalty.
